Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) received a fine of Rs 1 lakh from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for breaching GRAP-4 restrictions. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in the Karol Bagh Zone reportedly issued the challan to DMRC.
According to GRAP-4 guidelines issued by Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), construction activities are prohibited, and DMRC is currently engaged in construction work on RK Ashram Marg for Magenta Line Extension (Jankapuri West to R.K. Ashram) of Phase-IV. The MCD has directed DMRC to Deposit the penalty amount within nine days, as reported by Jansatta.
